AI interview prep
Practice a job interview out loud. It listens, adapts its questions to your resume or the job description, then scores your answers on relevance and clarity when you're done.

WHY THIS EXISTS
My final-year project, built solo, end to end. I wanted mock interview practice that actually felt like a conversation — not a form you fill out after the fact.
THE HARD PART
Knowing when someone actually stopped talking, not just paused. I replaced the browser's speech API with my own audio pipeline and used amplitude-based voice detection to catch silence reliably across different browsers, instead of guessing off a timer.
WHAT CHANGED IN MY HEAD
Real-time systems can't wait on slow work. Scoring an answer takes time, so I moved it off the live conversation entirely and ran it in the background — the interview never stalls waiting on the AI to finish grading.
WORTH POINTING AT
- Full voice interview pipeline over WebSockets, with Groq for speech-to-text and text-to-speech
- RMS-based voice activity detection for cross-browser silence detection
- Adaptive question generation from a resume or job description
- Post-interview scoring runs asynchronously so it never blocks the live conversation
